For safe and efficient operation, emergency shower maintenance is always carried out by at least two people. Our maintenance specialists are VCA-certified and ensure that all procedures are carried out according to the highest safety standards. We can also take care of the weekly or monthly testing of your eyewashes and safety showers, so you can be assured of optimal performance.

 

What does maintenance involve?

Our maintenance includes a thorough cleaning of the entire eyewash and safety shower, a visual inspection and test of all components. During the maintenance process, EN 15154-5 is central. This process consists of:

💧 Cleaning the complete eye and emergency shower
💧 Removing limescale and dirt build-up
💧 Testing the eyewash and safety shower
💧 Checking the emergency shower heads and nozzles for blockages
💧 Check operating mechanisms such as levers and buttons
💧 Check minimum flow rate of emergency shower 60 l/min - 76 l/min
💧 Check minimum flow rate of eyewash 6 l/min - 11,4 l/min
⏱️ Check minimum rinsing time of 15 minutes
🌡️ Control operating water temperature (ideally between 20 °C- 25 °C)
💧 Check spray pattern of the eyewash and safety shower
💧 Check accessibility of emergency showers, free of obstacles
💧 Check alarms on the eyewash and safety showeer

How often should maintenance be carried out?

We recommend having eyewashes and safety showers serviced once a year. In certain situations, such as highly contaminated environments, more frequent maintenance may be necessary. A well-structured maintenance plan ensures that your equipment is always ready for use.
